Anvil or 'saw setting plate' made in about 1904, and used up to 1953 in Earley. A base on which saw setting could be carried out using a hammer.
This anvil, or 'saw setting plate', was made by the donor in about 1904, and used by him up to 1953, in Earley. It is a solid rectangular iron block, and was used as a base on which saw setting could be carried out using a hammer.
