    Clasp and staple found in the builder's yard of Fowler and Company, West Harptree. Used to hold in place the removable chog of wood on the hub.
    This clasp and staple was found in the builder's yard of Fowler and Company, of West Harptree. Such clasps are found on most carts and wagons to hold in place the removable chog of wood on the hub. By removing this piece of wood, the lynch pin which holds the wheel to the axle arm may be taken out. The clasp is slightly convex in shape, to fit the shape of the hub.
