Tripod shaped trivet from Sussex, thought to date from the 18th C.. Formerly part of the collections at the Victoria & Albert Museum.
This wrought iron trivet originally came from Sussex, as is thought to date from the 18th century. It is of a tripod shape and was intended to stand on the hearth and hold a pot or other cooking utensil. It was formerly part of the collections at the Victoria & Albert Museum.
