  • Description
    This small square was used by the donor's father, who was a wheelwright and carpenter in Braishfield, Hampshire. It is made of a metal and a wooden arm with a brass strip along the inner edge of the wooden arm, and three brass diamonds where the arms are riveted together. It was used to make perfect right angles. The name 'H.J. Bown' is stamped in four places on the wooden parts of the tool.
