    A drainage scoop used on a farm at Great Conard, Suffolk (1900 - 1950). Used for cleaning the bottom of a drain before the tiles were laid.
    This drainage scoop was used on the farm at Great Conard, Suffolk, between 1900 and 1950. It was used for cleaning the bottom of a tile drain before the tiles were laid, and also for lifting the drainage tile into place. It consists of a long, narrow, slightly convex scoop blade, with an upright shaft onto which the handle (now missing) would be fitted.
