Description
This root chopper, also called a 'root cutter' and a 'mangold slicer', was used for chopping mangolds to be used as food for sheep. It has previoulsy been part of the collections at Torquay Museum and the Science Museum.

It consists of a wooden frame with four wooden legs, strengthened with iron. The lever arm has a shaped wooden block attached to it which presses into a basic formed by 9 iron knives which is attached to the frame.
