Description
This is a three furrow ridging plough. The frame is painted red and blue, and the mouldboard is painted silver. It was built by Ransomes, Sims & Jefferies Ltd., of Ipswich, sometime between 1910 and 1915. Its complete usage history is not known, but it is known to have been used with a Titan tractor up to about 1939, and then with a Fordson tractor up to about 1943 on Bridge Farm, in Burgess Hill, West Sussex.
