  • Description
    This pair of pattens were used at Black Torrington, Devon, as overshoes when walking in mud or on wet ground. The soles are made of wood, and are mounted on oval iron supports which are fastened at the front and back. The leather side pieces are decorated with pictures of a Grecian urn and some scrolls.
