Description
Two Churchman’s cigarette cards of Romany boxers Jimmy Walsh and Tommy Farr. Cigarette cards were used as advertising for cigarette companies. The cards have a photo of the boxer on one side and information about him on the reverse. They come from a set of 50 Boxing Personalities cards from 1938. Part of the Robert Dawson Romany collection.

Churchman) was a British cigarette manufacturer based in Ipswich, Suffolk. The company was a subsidiary of John Player & Sons of Imperial Tobacco Co. They were well known for producing cards with sporting themes.
