  • Description
    Three John Player and Sons cigarette cards from the series ‘Cries of London’. Cigarette cards were used as advertising for cigarette companies. Each card depicts a figure on the front with their cry of goods for sale and information on the reverse. The cry’s are: 'Maids, buy a mop’, ‘Buy my Dutch biskets’ and ‘Windmills’. They come from a second series of 25 cards produced in 1916. Part of the Robert Dawson Romany collection.
