  • Description
    This marking gauge was used by the donor's father, a wheelwright in Ham, Wiltshire. It consists of a square stick with two points near one end. Along the centre of the top edge a brass rule has been inserted and this is marked off in eights of an inch. There is a sliding block, lined on its inner side with two strips of brass.
