This lantern probably came from Moreton-in-Marsh, Gloucestershire. It is an ordinary farmhouse lantern with a circular sheet iron body with three horn windows, protected by thin pieces of wire. It has three dormers for ventilation on the roof. Each dormer has three holes in it and there is a row of holes in the roof just above the dormers. There is a candle socket inside, and a round handle is fixed to the top of the lantern by an elaborate swivelling device.
