    Arnold & Sons piglet feeder used by a shepherd working in the Lambourn Valley. Probably made and used in the 1950s to 1960s.
    This Arnold and Sons piglet feeder was used by a shepherd who worked in the Lambourn Valley. He bred rare breed sheep, goats and pigs. The stoneware feeder has nine nozzles which would take rubber teats to feed the young animals: piglets, lambs, kids. It was probably made and used in the 1950s to 1960s. The feeder is inscribed ‘Arnold & Sons 54 Wigmore St. London, W1’ and ‘The Arnold Foster mother patent applied for’. The container has a stoneware screw lid, with perished rubber seal.
