  • Archival history
Object research project, Further Afield, November 2024 - 'This is a Scourier bit, with 4 rings instead of 2 (also known as a Cornish snaffle). The cheek pieces of the bridle attach to the inner rings and the reins to the outer rings. This results in a severe pulling on the horse’s face when the reins are pulled.'
