Description
Denzil Skinner large David Brown 25D Tractor in illustrated lidded box. Red mazak tractor with black steering wheel and loose exhaust. Rubber tyres.This specific model was originally owned by Eric Percival, Vice-President and General Manager of David Brown Tractors (Canada) Ltd, who was born in Huddersfield, Yorkshire in 1917 and died in Toronto in 1984. It was found in his loft after his death, and is thought to have been used as a styling exercise to show the new livery of the David Brown 900 tractor launched in 1956. The hubs and grill were re-painted by David Brown or Denzil Skinner in French Blue to replicate the livery of the forthcoming 900 tractor. Letter of authenticity signed by Percival's daughter and Stuart Gibbard author of the David Brown Tractor Story. Model by Denzil Skinner from a large collection of British manufactured toy farm vehicles and implements.
