Fly fishing kit from the Peter Shepheard collection in a brown leather wallet. Incl. a licence to fish for trout for use by P. F. Shepheard'
This fly fishing kit is part of a selection of items donated to the Museum by the Landscape Institute. This item comes from one of four boxes, donated on behalf of the Landscape Institute. This box contained a medal, a glass coaster, an Institute of Landscape Architects stamp, and a fly fishing kit. This fly fishing kit from the Peter Shepheard collection (AR SHE) is contained in a brown leather wallet, held by a metal popper clasp. The kit contains seven gut cast lines, held in individual tissue wallets. The kit also contains a yellow wooden pencil, inscribed with 'Charles Letts & Co London', several pieces of yellow felt. In a back portion of the wallet is a further eight tissue and paper packets containing fly hooks and lines. Held in this rear section of the wallet is a red paper monthly licence to fish for trout signed for use by P. F. Shepheard'
