Moulding plane, used for creating profiles, from Froude, in Checkendon, Oxon.. Made by T. Colling's, Reading'.
One of twelve moulding planes, used for creating profiles in wood, from the workshop of Froude [?] in Checkendon, Oxfordshire. It has a beech stock with a boxwood insert. It is marked 'T. Colling's // Reading' (possibly the name of the manufacturer), 'W. Taylor' (possibly the name of a previous owner of the plane - seven of the twelve planes are marked with this name), and 'T. Hathaway' (possibly another previous owner).
