Description
Early pressure cooker, it would have hung from the chimney crane over an open fire. It has a safety valve on top of the lid.
This is a very large, early pressure cooker, made very heavily in thick iron. It would have hung from the chimney crane over an open fire. It has a wide hoop handle, hooked to the sides of the pot, a safety valve on top of the lid, and claws on the rim of the pot to hold the lid firmly in place.
