This candle holder is made of wrought iron and would be suspended from the ceiling or a hook on the wall. The height of the candle can be adjusted by the ratchet. It dates from the eighteenth century.

By means of the ratchet the height of the candle can be adjusted up and down about 12 inches. // The holder is made of wrought iron and is rather beautifully decorated.
