  • Description
    This sand-filled hour glass belonged to the donor's great-aunt, who lived in Plymouth. It is a one hour sand glass, but actually runs for an hour and ten minutes. Such sand glasses were used for almost any domestic purpose, in place of watches and clocks. There is a paper label stuck to one end which reads 'Morgan... Bow... London.'
