    This map, ‘Bacon’s County Map of Sussex’ and No. 4 in the series, was produced circa 1906–1910 by G. W. Bacon & Co. Ltd., 127 Strand, London, and sold for nine pence. It folds into a soft cover of orange card, with black printed text and an image of a car and a lady holding a bicycle and consulting a map. It belonged to the donor’s father who was a keen cyclist and hiker.
