This tureen with lid was designed by Jessie Tait (1928–2010) and manufactured by Midwinter Pottery of Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent, circa 1954. The design is known as ‘Primavera’ and consists of a pattern made of flowers and plants in green, yellow and red, on a white ground. The tureen is made of semi-porcelain, with the design handpainted in permanent and acid resisting underglaze colours.
