  • Description
This milk cooler belonged to the donor’s father-in-law, a part-time farmer in Buxton, Derbyshire, 1950–1990. The cooler is in two sections – an upper section consisting of a copper tray with brass end plates, and a lower section consists of a corrugated copper façade and rear, a copper tray with brass end plates, and brass pipe fittings. Milk would drip from the upper tray over the corrugated panels, which were believed to have a cooling effect, and into the lower tray.
