Description
This is an original cartoon design by Michael O'Connell, which was used to create one of a set of wall hangings which were displayed in the Country Pavilion of the 1951 Festival of Britain. This cartoon depicts The Fens, and shows a windmill in the centre with six sails, surrounded by even square fields, with the occasional farmhouse, and Ely Cathedral in the top right and Lincoln Cathedral in the top left.
