Description
Secateurs are used by basketmakers for cutting thick cane, although the cross-blade type is never used. This pair has curved blades and a large spring in between the handles. They were used by Sam Fisher, a Derbyshire skep-maker whose family were skep-makers for several generations.
Archival history
2007/1-6 were collected by Ms Alex Bury while she was doing a basketmaking course in London.
