  • Description
    This is a large rectangular post office basket mounted on two wooden battens. It has a wooden frame, with four openings in the side below the rim to be used as handles, and a rope handle at each end. The bottom edge of each corner is protected by a leather patch. The basket was probably made in either Leicester or Peterborough.

It was from Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire but was probably made in either Leicester or Peterborough.’
