    MERL 'Catalogue index' card – 'This implement is said by Miss Smith to have been used for cleaning bricks. The head is made of iron, the main blade being welded onto the handle, which in turn is sunk into a wooden handle and held in place by a band of iron. The blade is flat and oblong with slightly curved sides. // The brick cleaner is 11.75 inches in length and the head is 7.75 inches long and 4.3 inches wide.', Lavinia Smith Catalogue (D60/28) - 'A list of the contents of the East Hendred museum.
