Description
This heather honey press was made by Mountain Grey Apiaries of Yorkshire. It is marketed as an 'M G Honey Press'. It is made of metal; the press is held on four splayed legs. The body consists of a box with a square exit hole at the bottom through which the honey drips. The press mechanism consists of a rectangular plate moved up and down by turning a threaded pole with a 'T'-handle at the top. It dates from the 1930s and was last used by the donor in Peppard Common in the 1970s.
