  • Description
    A pair of shears or tin snips. Tin snips were used for cutting sheets of metal. Found in a ditch on the outskirts of Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire.
    A pair of blacksmithing shears, known as 'tin snips'. The snips are a scissor-like tool with short blades and large, looped handles. Tin snips were used by tin smiths for cutting sheets of metal, with each pair of snips designed for a particular task. This pair was found in a ditch on the outskirts of Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire.
