This is a potato basket, known as a 'tattie basket', used for harvesting potatoes. It is shaped like a spale basket but is made of wire. It has a metal frame consisting of a tap ring and three metals struts, to which wire netting is fixed. The openings at each end act as handles. These baskets are also made in plastic.
