    Box for top hat, part of a coachman's livery. Used by Mr Henry Thomas between 1896 and 1904 when coachman to the High Sherif of Berkshire.
    This box for top hat is part of a coachman's livery. This livery was used by Mr Harvey Thomas’s father, Henry, and was worn between 1896 and 1904 when Henry was coachman to the High Sherif of Berkshire, Mr Arthur Harvey Thursby. The uniform consisting of jacket, waistcoat, trousers, stockings, top hand and accessories. This is a special shaped box made of leather and padded and lined inside.
