Tobacco tin with ventilating holes at each end. 'BRIGHT FLAKED HONEYDEW'. 'Manufacturered by W. A. & A. C. CHURCHMAN, Tobacco Manufacturers etc.
This is an oblong tobacco tin with ventilating holes at each end. It is green with gold and blue lettering. The lettering on the lid reads, 'BRIGHT FLAKED HONEYDEW'. On the side the lettering reads, 'Manufacturered by W. A. & A. C. CHURCHMAN // Tobacco Manufacturers // Established 1790 // IPSWICH, LONDON, NORWICH'. It was found by the donor in his father's shed in Ashburton, Devon, while clearing it out after his father's death in 1983. It is one of a number of objects found in the shed by the donor and donated to MERL (object numbers 83/98-83/128).
