A pair of thick brown leather leggings or gaiters, with metal hooks and eyelets. The leggings are quite stiff so that they hold the shape of the leg. The donor had worn similar leggings as a youth when he worked as a gamekeeper.

Paint chipped/ flaking. Laces have the appearance of being newer than the gaiters, whose insides are worn with use. // Leather 1/8th in. thick. // Check the use of: // 1. Holes top & bottom // 2. Leather button hole on inside of gaiter. // No (2): one of the holes at the ankles has been torn. Otherwise both (1) & (2) are in a similar condition.’
