Description
A curd cutter used to cut cheese curd horizontally. This item was used at Hertfordshire College of Agriculture and Horticulture, St. Albans.
This is a curd cutter with 46 horizontal knives. The top of the cutter is curved. The handle is set at right angles to the cutter and is made of dark wood. It is attached by a brass ring. It has reinforced feet at the bottom to protect the knives. The cutter was used to cut cheese curd horizontally, this example would have been used in conjunction with cutter 75/52. This item was used at Hertfordshire College of Agriculture and Horticulture, St. Albans.
