Description
Thatching spars and honeysuckle twine. Used to hold the original thatch of a 16th century cottage in Eversley.
Two wooden thatching spars and some honeysuckle twine. Spars are used to secure the thatch to the roof. According to the donor, the spars and twine were used to hold the original thatch of a 16th century cottage in Eversley, Hampshire; however this seems unlikely as thatch has to be replaced regularly.
