Description
This rounding plane, also called a spoke plane was a woodworking tool used by the donor at his wheelwright shop in Great Missenden. It was used for shaving wheel spokes, rake handles, and ladder rungs etc. One end of the spoke was held in a clamp and the shave was swung round by its handles down the wood.
