A saw wrest is a tool used to set the teeth of saw blades, usually alternately slightly left and right of centre. This saw wrest is stamped 'W. & C. Wynn'. It belonged to Mr Greenwood, a master craftsman in the Stonor-Hambleden area on the Oxfordshire-Buckinghamshire border. The donor worked with Mr Greenwood's son, who was also a craftsman.
