    Lathe chisel used at a wheelwright shop in Great Missenden, Buckinghamshire.
    This chisel lathe tool was used by the donor at his wheelwright shop in Great Missenden, Buckinghamshire. The blade is at a slight acute angle to the shank, and has both its sides sharpened. It was thus a smoothing chisel for reducing the surface to an uniform level.The stem is held in place in a wooden handle by a cast iron ring fixed to the bottom tip of the handle.
