Type of net used on the Thames when the Thames Registered Fisherman were operating. Used and made by J. L. Webb of York Road, Reading.
This type of net was in use on the River Thames during the period that the Thames Registered Fisherman were operating. It was usually used to catch bait for line fishing and was thrown through the air so as to land open upon the water. This example was used and made by J. L. Webb of York Road, Reading, Berkshire.
