  • Description
This is a fairly heavily made gouge, known as a firmer gouge. It is a woodworking tool. The blade widens out and has been wrapped round the handle and welded on. It also has had the maker's name imprinted on its inner side but this is now illegible. It was used by the donor's grandfather, and the handle is well worn by hammer blows.
