    This elaborate straw dolly, in the shape of an anchor, was made by Fred Mizen at Great Bardfield for the Festival of Britain. The main pieces consist of long bunches of straw covered by a spiral plait, and details such as the rope and hooks are made of the same plait more tightly worked. It is further decorated by bows of blue ribbon.
