    The rods of this hay tester screw together and are inserted point first into the hay. A portion can be withdrawn by the hook. Sharp Collection.
    This is a hay tester, which was used to determine the cubical contents of a portion of hay. The metal rods screw together, and are inserted point first into the hay. A small portion can be withdrawn by the hook in the head. This item came to the collection as part of the Sharp Collection.

    The Sharp Collection of agricultural and dairying equipment was compiled by Reverend C. J. Sharp at Wonersh, Surrey.
