  • Description
A scraper with a wooden handle and a steel blade, used to create grooves in wood. It bears the manufacturer's mark, now illegible, and is marked 'W. Newton' in two places. It is part of a set of cabinet maker's tools, many of which are marked 'W. Newton', suggesting this may have been the name of the cabinet maker from whom the donor acquired the set.
