A pair of hand-sewn ear caps for a cart horse, used to protect the ears from flies. They are made of cotton and wool, and are decorated with braids and bobbles in red, white, green and yellow. They came from the village of Bucklebury in Berkshire, where there was said by the donor to be a regular industry for making them until World War I.
