Model of a man with his legs in stocks. Made in 1966 by Cicely Hey, from wood, plaster, cloth and metal. The figure is apparently in stocks for being drunk on Sunday. Cicely Hey was an artist and designer who in 1924 marrried to Robert R. Tatlock, editor of the Burlington Magazine and later art critic of the Daily Telegraph. At the same time she met British artist Sickert, whom painted many portraits of Hey.
