    A billhook is an edge tool used in hedging, coppice work and other woodland trades, and the tool shows great regional variety with each area having its own accepted pattern and shape. This 9 inch billhook is the Buckinghamshire type. It has a curved blade, and the back of the tool is continued to a point that juts out in front of the tool. Its handle is missing.
