    A turf cutter which could have been used for several tasks, including fag cutting and cutting kindling wood. Found in South Zeal, Devon.
    This is a turf cutter, which could have been used for several other tasks, including fag cutting and cutting kindling wood. It was found by the donor in South Zeal, Devon, and was used in Devon and Cornwall in the nineteenth century. It consists of an iron head with an ash shaft. It was called a ‘vag cutter’ by locals.
