  • Description
    This is a butter mould with a sheaf design. This mould is used to make blocks of butter in the shape of a sheaf. It came to the museum as part of the sharp collection.
  • Archival history
    The Sharp Collection of agricultural and dairying equipment was compiled by Reverend C. J. Sharp at Wonersh, Surrey. Reverend Sharp died in 1967 and the Museum acquired the Collection for £60 in 1968., MERL ‘Handwritten Accession’ form - ‘MOULD (BUTTER) // PROCESSING MILK BUTTER // The Sharp Collection // [pencil drawing] and another similar with knot trying sheave together.’
