William Shelley (Manufacturer)

This travelling basket for transporting poultry was made for the Museum in 1965–1966 by William Shelley of Salisbury, Wiltshire. It is a round basket with straight sides, a half-lid which opens and a twisted handle. It is made of white willow with a heavy construction.
