A. Gentry, Great Totham, Essex. // Where was it made: Gt Totham // From which material is it made: Wood, Iron // Is it corroded or broken or damaged in any way: Model originally stored spare sieves at front section // Additional information: maker made full size machines. This was made for amusement of his children. 2 relations of some village were in competition making cleaning machines. Visit on 27th August 1970- Miss L. K. Gentry with nephew (donor) provided further information that from A Gentry made dressing machines- at least two generations- his father (maker if model) and his father. Mid 19th century origin in Essex. Also repaired malfunc machines at later period.’
